International Maritime Industries signs an agreement with Bahri Logistics to expand its warehousing and logistics

International Maritime Industries, the largest offshore basin in the Middle East and North Africa region, and Bahri Logistics Services, one of Bahri’s business divisions, signed a long-term agreement aimed at strengthening the company’s supply chain International Maritime Industries by providing the best storage solutions and advanced logistics services.

The new agreement contributes to supporting IMI's commitment to developing the maritime industries sector in the Kingdom, as well as enabling the company to provide a highly efficient supply chain to its customers, in order to reduce risks, reduce costs, and speed up deliveries. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Ahmari, CEO of the International Maritime Industries Company, and Eng. Sorour Basloom, Head of the Bahri Logistics Sector, during the activities of the Saudi Maritime Conference 2022 held in Dammam on September 28 and 29.

Under the agreement, IMI will benefit from the expertise of Bahri Logistics in operating and managing three warehouses and 33 warehouses in its marine basin in the Ras Al-Khair region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bahri Logistics will be responsible for transporting materials required for ship building, maintenance and repair operations from local and international suppliers to IMI's facilities, including inland transportation and customs clearance.

The three warehouses, including storage areas and workshops, will span a total area of ​​30,000 square meters in Zones C and D within IMI's offshore dock, which is focused on building new commercial ships, offshore drilling rigs and lift boats. . In addition, 33 warehouses will be built in several different areas within the marine basin. Bahri Logistics will design, implement and manage the day-to-day operations of the entire new warehousing system.
